CBSE schools in the UAE have until 30 October 2026 to register Class 10 and Class 12 students for the 2027 board exams, now with a late fee. The normal-fee window closed on 21 October. Under the board’s circular of 17 September 2026, only students named in this list of candidates (LOC) can sit the exams, and a short correction window follows from 2 to 4 November.

Key dates and fees for Gulf schools

Schools submit the LOC, not parents. The CBSE LOC circular sets a separate fee for schools outside India and Nepal, quoted in Indian rupees.

Item Schools outside India and Nepal
Normal fee window 24 September to 21 October 2026 (closed)
Late fee window 22 to 30 October 2026
Exam fee, 5 subjects INR 11,000 per student
Each extra subject INR 2,200
Late fee INR 2,000 per student, on top
Class 12 practical fee INR 375 per practical subject
Data correction window 2 to 4 November 2026

CBSE sent schools a reminder on 14 October asking for correct student data, correct subjects and on-time fees.

Class 10: the first board exam is compulsory

Under the two-board-exam policy, the first Class 10 exam in February and March 2027 is mandatory for every student. This LOC covers only that first exam. Registration for the optional second exam opens after the first one ends, and students can pick from the same subjects the school lists now. So the subject choices made this month matter for both attempts.

What parents should check this week

After the LOC closes, schools will print a data verification slip for each student. Errors in the name, parents’ names, date of birth or subjects can be fixed only from 2 to 4 November. After that, CBSE says no correction will be allowed.

  • Ask the school for your child’s slip and match the spelling of every name with the school’s admission register.
  • Check the date of birth.
  • Check subject codes. CBSE flags these as common mistakes: Hindi A (002) or Hindi B (085), and Mathematics Standard (041) or Basic (241) in Class 10.

CBSE says it will not accept subject change requests after the LOC is submitted. If the slip shows the wrong Hindi or Maths course, 2 to 4 November is your last chance. Our Hindi tuition for CBSE students covers both courses.

Unsure whether Hindi A or Hindi B suits your child? An AED 30 demo class with a level check helps you decide.
