Public Speaking Courses in Dubai and the UAE

One to one coaching, online, for people who go blank in front of a room

Presentation skills, board meetings, pitches and the nerves underneath all of it. Coached live and one to one so you actually speak for the whole hour, from AED 613 a month with an AED 30 demo.

Why you go blank, and why it is not about confidence

Almost nobody who books this is short of things to say. They freeze because the body treats an audience as a threat, and the physical response arrives before any thought does.

That order matters. It is why telling yourself to relax fails.

Adrenaline shortens your breath, and short breath shortens your sentences. Your voice climbs, your pace rises, and you reach the end of a thought with no air left, which the room reads as nerves and you read as proof you cannot do this. The loop is physical first and psychological second.

You do not fix this by feeling braver. You fix it by changing what your body does in the first thirty seconds.

Which is trainable, and faster than most people expect.

Public speaking tips that survive a real room

Most advice you will find is either obvious or useless under pressure. These are the ones that hold when your heart rate is up, roughly in the order they help.

1
Breathe out before you start, not inThe instinct is a big breath in, which leaves you holding air and raises your pitch. Empty your lungs first. The in-breath then happens on its own, lower and slower, and your first sentence comes out at your real voice rather than a semitone above it.
2
Write your first sentence word for wordNot the whole talk. Just the opening. The first fifteen seconds are when you are least able to think, so remove the need to. Once you are speaking, the rest arrives.
3
Slow the first minute deliberatelyEveryone speeds up under adrenaline and nobody notices themselves doing it. Consciously take the opening slower than feels right. It will sound normal to the room and buy you control for the rest.
4
Put your hands somewhere on purposeHands with no job find pockets, hair and the lectern. Decide in advance: resting at your sides, or loosely in front. Fidgeting reads as nerves louder than any verbal stumble.
5
Pause instead of saying umSilence feels enormous to you and lasts a fraction of a second to everyone else. A pause reads as authority. A filler reads as searching. Swapping one for the other is the single fastest change in how you come across.
6
Look at one person per thoughtScanning a room makes you look anxious and makes eye contact land on nobody. Deliver a whole sentence to one person, then move. It slows you down and it looks like composure.
7
Rehearse aloud, standing, at full volumeRehearsing in your head trains nothing. The muscles, the breath and the pace are what fail on the day, and none of them are exercised silently in a chair.

Six of those seven are physical. That is not a coincidence, and it is why reading about public speaking rarely changes anything on its own.

Presentation skills and public speaking are not the same job

People search for both and often need the other. Public speaking is about you in front of an audience. Presentation skills are about the material carrying the argument.

Public speakingPresentation skills
The problemNerves, pace, presence, going blankStructure, slides, data, persuading
Fails whenYou lose the room in the first minuteThe room follows every slide and agrees with none
Fixed byBreath, pacing, eye contact, rehearsalArgument order, one idea per slide, the ask
Usually needed byAnyone speaking to a groupAnyone whose case has to survive after they leave

Most professionals in the Emirates need a bit of both, and the balance is decided in the demo rather than assumed.

If your problem is the argument rather than the delivery, say so early. It changes the whole plan.

What the coaching actually works on

One tutor, one learner, live and online. You speak for most of every session, because a public speaking class where you listen is a contradiction.

  • Breath and pace drills, recorded so you can hear the difference rather than take our word for it
  • Filler words counted and removed, which is usually the fastest visible win
  • Openings rehearsed until the first fifteen seconds are automatic
  • Structure for a talk, a pitch or an update, so the content does its share
  • Questions and interruptions handled without losing the thread
  • On camera presence, since a great deal of speaking now happens on a call

Who books it. Managers presenting to boards, engineers and analysts who know the material and lose the room, sales teams pitching in a second language, and people who have just been promoted into a job that involves talking.

Also, quite often, people preparing for one specific event. A wedding speech, a conference slot, a panel. That is a legitimate reason to book a month and stop.

Fees are AED 613 for one month and AED 1,225 for two, the same in every emirate. Full list on the course fees page.

Public speaking for children

Confidence in front of a class is easier to build at nine than at thirty five, and school in the UAE asks for it constantly: presentations, assemblies, MUN, elocution.

Children need a different approach from adults, mostly because they have not yet learned to dread it.

Sessions lean on reading aloud, storytelling and short prepared talks rather than on technique drills, and the aim is that speaking up never becomes the thing they avoid. Where a child is already anxious about it, we go slower and start with material they choose.

Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and the honest answer about near me

There is no WizMantra room in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Every session is live video, one tutor and one learner, which for this subject is an advantage rather than a compromise.

Two reasons, and the second surprises people.

First, the practical one: an evening class in Business Bay costs you the drive at the worst hour, and public speaking coaching is most useful in short frequent sessions rather than one long weekly block. Second, a camera is closer to modern speaking than a classroom is. Most of the high stakes talking people now do happens on a call, and practising to a lens is practising the real thing.

Frequently asked questions

How do I stop going blank when speaking in public?

Remove the need to think in the first fifteen seconds. Write your opening sentence word for word and rehearse it aloud until it is automatic, breathe out rather than in before you start, and take the first minute deliberately slower than feels natural.

What is the fastest thing to improve in public speaking?

Replacing filler words with pauses. Silence feels enormous to the speaker and lasts a fraction of a second to the room, so a pause reads as authority while an um reads as searching. It is usually the first thing listeners notice changing.

How much does a public speaking course cost in Dubai?

Our one to one coaching is AED 613 for one month and AED 1,225 for two, the same rate in every emirate because sessions are online. The demo is AED 30 and includes an assessment of where your delivery is actually losing the room.

Is public speaking the same as presentation skills?

No, though people often need both. Public speaking is about you in front of an audience: nerves, pace, presence. Presentation skills are about the material carrying the argument: structure, slides and the ask. The demo works out which one is your real problem.

Can you help me prepare for one specific event?

Yes, and a good share of clients book exactly that. A conference slot, a board presentation, a wedding speech or a panel. One month focused on a single event is a legitimate way to use this rather than an open ended course.

Do you teach public speaking to children?

Yes, one to one and online, using reading aloud, storytelling and short prepared talks rather than adult technique drills. UAE schools ask for presentations and assemblies constantly, and confidence in front of a class is far easier to build at nine than at thirty five.

Does online coaching work for public speaking?

For one to one, yes, and there is a specific reason beyond convenience. Most high stakes speaking now happens on a call, so practising to a camera is practising the real thing rather than a substitute for it. You also get short frequent sessions instead of one long weekly block, which suits this subject.

Find out what the room actually notices

You cannot hear your own filler words and you cannot see your own hands. The AED 30 demo is a live session where a trainer watches you speak and names the one habit costing you the most, which is rarely the one you were worried about.
