IELTS Coaching in Sharjah, Online and One to One

Sit the exam in Sharjah. Prepare without driving to Dubai for it.

Live 1-on-1 IELTS preparation for candidates in Al Nahda, Al Majaz, Muweilah and across Sharjah. Writing marked against the band descriptors, speaking practised with a person, at a slot that survives a Dubai working day.

You can sit IELTS in Sharjah. The coaching is what moves to Dubai

Sharjah is on the official IELTS test city list. The exam is not the problem. Preparation is, because almost every IELTS institute worth the name has its centre in Dubai, and an evening class there means the E11 at the worst hour of the day.

So most people here prepare alone. A book, a YouTube playlist, a lot of discipline.

Then writing comes back at 6 and nobody can tell them why. Writing and speaking are the two bands you cannot raise without someone marking you, and that is the whole gap.

The Sharjah to Dubai commute is why we teach this online. A one hour class should not cost you three hours.

What IELTS costs in the UAE

The fee is the same whether you sit the test in Sharjah, Dubai or Abu Dhabi. You book directly with IDP or the British Council.

TestFeeWho it is for
Academic or General Training, computerAED 1,470Most candidates
Computer with paper writingAED 1,620If you write better by hand
IELTS UKVIAED 1,570UK visa and immigration routes only
IELTS Life SkillsAED 750UK family and settlement, speaking and listening only
One Skill RetakeAED 962Retaking one section, computer
One Skill Retake, paper writingAED 1,020As above, writing on paper
One Skill Retake UKVIAED 990UKVI candidates

Fees as listed by IDP IELTS UAE, September 2026. The exam is booked directly with IDP or the British Council, never through us. Confirm the current fee before you pay.

If you already have a result and only one band is short, One Skill Retake at AED 962 beats paying the full fee again.

The catch is the deadline. It has to be booked within 60 days of your original test, and that is the part people miss.

Who we teach in Sharjah

Sharjah IELTS candidates are rarely students with open afternoons. They are people fitting preparation around a full week.

Families in Al Nahda and Al MajazOften one parent applying for PR in Canada or Australia while the other works in Dubai. Evening slots after the school run.
People working in DubaiOut of the house by seven, back after eight. A fixed online slot survives that week. A Dubai classroom does not.
Healthcare and teaching staffApplying for registration abroad, usually needing a specific band in every section rather than a good average.
University applicantsSharjah has several universities, and Academic IELTS is the usual requirement for postgraduate study overseas.

Where the bands are actually lost

In our experience the reading and listening scores look after themselves with practice. Writing and speaking are where the plan matters, and they are exactly the two you cannot mark yourself.

Writing

Task 2 carries two thirds of the writing band. Most candidates lose marks on Task Response, which means answering only half the question, or on examples that never arrive. Read how Task 2 is marked before your next attempt.

Speaking

Part 3 decides band 7 and above. It is the abstract discussion, and it is where candidates who did fine in Parts 1 and 2 come apart. The speaking question bank has the real question types, and you should say them out loud rather than read them.

The trap with a single weak band

Most immigration and registration routes want a minimum in every section, not an average. Scoring 7, 7, 7 and 6 fails a 7 requirement even though the average is above it.

How the classes run

One tutor, one candidate, online, at a slot fixed with you in Gulf Standard Time. AED 1,038 a month for General Training or Academic, or AED 862 for the Adhoc course if you have already sat the test and need one or two bands lifted.

  • Your writing marked against the four criteria, with the reason for each deduction
  • Speaking practised live, including Part 3, not just discussed
  • Mock tests under real timing so the clock stops being the problem
  • An honest view of whether your target band is reachable by your test date

Full pricing sits on the course fees page. The AED 30 demo includes a level assessment, so you find out where you actually stand before committing.

Frequently asked questions

Can I take the IELTS exam in Sharjah?

Yes. Sharjah is on the official test city list published by IDP for the UAE, alongside Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Khorfakkan and Dibba. Availability varies by date and test type, so check with the provider before assuming your preferred slot exists.

How much does IELTS cost in Sharjah?

The same as anywhere in the UAE: AED 1,470 for Academic or General Training on computer, AED 1,620 with paper writing, and AED 1,570 for UKVI. Those are IDP's listed fees as of September 2026. Confirm the current figure with the provider before you pay.

Are your classes held in Sharjah?

No, and we do not pretend otherwise. Every class is live and online, one to one. That is deliberate: it means a Sharjah candidate who works in Dubai does not lose two hours a day getting to a classroom in order to attend one.

How long before I am ready to sit the test?

Between six and twelve weeks for most candidates lifting one band, and longer for two. It depends far more on which skills are weak than on where you are starting overall. The demo assessment tells you which, and gives you an honest timeline rather than an encouraging one.

I only need to improve writing. Do I have to retake everything?

Not necessarily. One Skill Retake lets you sit a single section again for AED 962, but it must be booked within 60 days of your original test. Check that your receiving institution accepts a One Skill Retake result, because not all of them do.

Do you prepare for Academic or General Training?

Both. Academic if you are applying to a university, General Training for most migration and work routes. If you are unsure which your application needs, ask the receiving body before you book, because sitting the wrong one is an expensive mistake.

Find out which band is actually holding you back

Most candidates know their overall score and not which section is dragging it down. The AED 30 demo assesses your level properly and tells you honestly whether your target is reachable by your test date.
