CBSE special Class 12 exams for UAE students end with English Core on 28 October
CBSE’s special Class 12 exams for students in the UAE and six other West Asian countries finish on Wednesday 28 October 2026 with the English Core paper. The board released the date sheet on 8 October for students whose 2026 board papers could not be held in March and April. The marks from these papers are final and replace the grades students were given earlier.
Why these exams are happening now
CBSE could not hold the 2026 Class 12 exams in 40 subjects (20 academic, 20 skill) across Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Results for those students were declared on 13 May 2026 under an assessment scheme notified on 27 March. Following a Supreme Court decision, the board then offered every student graded under that scheme the chance to sit the cancelled papers. Its circular of 15 September 2026 set the rules.
- Only students whose 2026 results came through the assessment scheme could apply, and they chose their own subjects.
- Applications ran from 22 to 26 September, with no exam fee.
- The new result is final. CBSE says no post-result facilities will be offered.
- There is one exam centre in each country.
The date sheet
The official date sheet covers 16 subjects over five days. Most papers run from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

What families should do now
If your child is sitting English Core, they need the admit card from the same login used to apply (cards have been available since 12 October). One night before an English paper is not the time for new grammar. Spend it on timing: a full reading passage, one letter or article, and a quick check of the answer format.
Because this result replaces the earlier one and CBSE will offer no post-result facilities, it is worth giving the last paper full effort. After the exam, keep an eye on your school’s notices for the result date. Neither CBSE notice gives one.
