Teach with WizMantra UAE

We run live one to one online classes for learners across the UAE, in English, IELTS, PTE, OET, French, Hindi and Sanskrit. Every class is one tutor and one learner, which means the person in front of you talks for most of the hour and you correct them while they do it.

What the work actually is

  • One to one, live, online. No group classes and no recorded content.
  • Fixed slots agreed with each learner, mostly UAE evenings.
  • You teach a named learner over a plan, so you see the same person improve or not improve.
  • Remote. Tutors work from wherever they are, for learners in all seven emirates.

Open roles

These are the subjects where UAE demand is steady enough that we are usually hiring. If your subject is not listed but you think we should be teaching it here, say so in the form.

IELTS TutorAcademic and General Training, all four modules. You will run mock tests, mark writing against the band descriptors and tell a candidate honestly whether their target band is reachable by their test date. Most requested
Spoken English Tutor, adultsWorking professionals who can read and write English but freeze in meetings. Sales staff, engineers, nurses, front desk teams. The job is talk time and correction, not lecturing.Ongoing
OET and healthcare English TutorNurses and doctors preparing for licensing here. Referral letters, case notes and role plays with a patient. Clinical background is worth more than a teaching certificate for this one.New
English Tutor for Arabic speakersLearners whose errors come from Arabic: articles, the present perfect, consonant clusters, the /p/ sound. Knowing why the error happens matters more than spotting it.Specialist
French Tutor for childrenBeginner and A1 children in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, often working towards DELF Prim. More listening, more play, far less grammar than an adult class.Part time
Hindi TutorIndian families in the UAE who want their children to read and write Hindi, plus adults working on spoken Hindi. CBSE syllabus experience helps for the school age students.Part time

What we look for

  • You correct people well. Anyone can spot an error. The skill is choosing which one to raise now, and which to let go so the learner keeps talking.
  • You know your exam properly. For IELTS, PTE and OET that means the marking criteria, not just the format. A tutor who cannot explain why an essay scored 6 is not much use to somebody who needs 7.
  • You are reliable about slots. A learner who paid for a fixed time and got a cancellation does not come back. This is the single most common reason a tutor does not last with us.
  • You can be honest about a timeline. Telling somebody their target band is not reachable in three weeks is a harder conversation than agreeing with them, and it is the right one.

What we will not pretend

Hours depend on demand for your subject and on the slots you can hold, so we will not promise you a full timetable before we know either. Pay is set at interview and varies by subject. And the demo class is a real filter, not a formality, so prepare for it the way you would prepare for a paid session.

How to apply

Fill in the tutor profile form. It takes a few minutes and it is the only route in, because it puts your details where the people doing the hiring will actually see them.

Open the tutor application form

If you would rather write first, email wizmantra@gmail.com with your subject, your experience and the hours you can hold in Gulf Standard Time. Put the subject in the subject line. You can also reach us on WhatsApp.

Before you apply, look at what we teach

The clearest picture of the job is the material learners are working from. The practice section shows the level and the style, the OET page shows how specific the exam work gets, and the course fees page shows what learners are paying for your time.

Questions tutors ask us

Do I need to be in the UAE to teach for WizMantra UAE?

No. Every class is delivered online, so tutors work from wherever they are. What matters is that you can hold slots that suit learners in Gulf Standard Time, which in practice means late afternoons and evenings there.

What qualifications do you ask for?

A degree in the subject or in education, and real teaching experience, are the usual starting point. For IELTS, PTE and OET we care most about whether you know the marking criteria well enough to explain a score. A CELTA or TEFL helps but does not replace experience.

How many hours will I get?

It depends on demand for your subject and on the slots you can hold. We will not promise a number of hours before we know both. Tutors who can cover UAE evening slots are usually busier than those who cannot.

How is pay decided?

By subject, experience and the hours you can commit to. It is discussed at interview rather than published here, because a beginner French slot and an OET writing slot are not the same job.

What does the hiring process look like?

The form, then a conversation, then a short demo class where we watch how you correct someone. The demo is the part that decides it. We are looking at how you handle a learner who is wrong, not at your slide deck.
