Traveling is an exciting activity that appeals people from different age groups, both young and old. In our excessively busy world, everyone wants to break the monotony of life through a short vacation now and then. The selection of destination, however, depends more on your personal choice and mood. It could be your own city or a remote place in a foreign country.
Once you have enjoyed your vacation and returned to your daily routine, you might be asked to explain or narrate your experiences. The way you describe a particular place may motivate others to plan a trip to that city and explore the place.
Today, we are presenting a situational conversation exhibiting how to recommend your friend on places to visit in your city.
Example Conversation in English
Sheena: I have been living in Mumbai for more than six months, but I haven’t yet explored the city. I am planning to do this task over the coming long weekend. Can you tell me about the places that I should not miss visiting?
You: That’s a great idea. Though I stay here, I hardly travel precisely to see the beautiful places anymore. Let me accompany you. We’ll start with the Gateway of India, in the south of the city. Alike India Gate in Delhi, we have our Gateway of India here. From there, we can move to the Queen’s necklace, the Marine drive. We can shop along at Fashion Street. The bargains there are too enticing. After a tiring shopping experience, you’ll enjoy the natural bay even more.
Sheena: That seems a great weekend plan. But I am hungry with all this shopping and walking.
You: Not to worry madam, we can stop at the Khau Galli or the Food Street and enjoy some mouthwatering cuisines. You’ll not forget this day for a long time I bet you. If you’re into art, we can consider a stopover at the Jehangir Art gallery. After that, we’ll head to a beach. After all, beaches are the important attraction of Mumbai. We can move to the Juhu beach to enjoy scrumptious bhel puri and pani puri. I vouch you would have never had such tasty chaat ever.
